Penticton & Area
Penticton, it is said, means ‘A Place to Stay Forever’
And who could disagree
Affectionately known as the ‘Peach City’ by the Penticton-and-area residents, the juicy- and-delicious fruit seems to suit the tag bestowed on the small and popular Okanagan Valley city. The peach is just one of numerous fruits that has helped lure flocks of visitors to our region for well over 100 years. Those visiting in recent decades have opted to return and call Penticton home. Who could blame anyone for making that choice?

Living in the South Okanagan
What can one say about life in the South Okanagan except that it is absolutely wonderful. From Osoyoos in the south heading northward along Highway 97 towards Penticton and Naramata, there are so many things to do and see – from water sports to skiing to golf. I know of a few who ski and golf in the same day in the spring. South Okanagan golf courses tend to open for play in February, if not earlier! Some golfers have actually hit the fairways 365 days a year. Hard to believe, but true. Cycling popularity is continuing to be on the rise as is running. Triathlons remain a hit for those of all ages. There are activities galore for all ages. You name it, the South Okanagan will surely be accommodating. There is just so much to offer. And, don’t forget this is Wine Country!

It goes without saying that Penticton, being situated between famed Okanagan Lake (Ogopogo!) and Skaha Lake boasts great beaches and equally as impressive parks.
